    Hawkes Learning is an innovative, educational courseware platform providing instructional content and mastery-based learning to enhance student success in college courses.

    You are required to purchase an access code through the NICC online bookstore to gain entry to the Hawkes Learning materials associated with your course. The access code will be provided with your textbook purchase OR you can buy an access code (delivered through Vital Source), without a hard copy of the book that includes an online eBook that will be stored in your eLibrary. Instructions for accessing your eLibrary can be found, here. If you purchased your course materials but are having difficulty locating your access code, contact Cougar Clothing & Supplies at 844.642.2338 ext. 1702 for support. 

    Getting Started:

      1. Purchase an Access Code from the NICC Bookstore.
      2. Create an account by clicking on the Hawkes Learning SSO link in your course and selecting the Create an Account button.
      3. Select an option that applies to you:
        • If you have a code, select I have an Access Code or License Number
        • If you do not have a code, either select I want to Purchase a Code or Request Temporary Access.
        • If you purchased an ebook, log into VitalSource to get your digital Access Code.
      4. Click Continue
      5. Fill out the information as needed and make sure to use your NICC email.
      6. Pick your school, Instructor, and section.
      7. Click Enroll when done.
      8. Select the View Course button to access assignments and course materials.
        • To access your ebook for Hawkes Learning, click on the ebook in your dashboard, then click on the link to register your ebook.
      9. To access your ebook for Hawkes Learning, click on the ebook in your dashboard, then click on the link to register your ebook. 

    Reminders:

    • Wait until your course opens in Brightspace (3 days prior to the course start) to enter your access code with the Hawkes Learning SSO registration link built into your course content. 
    • You must have purchased the access code to begin your coursework at the beginning of the course. If you are unable to get your access code right away, email your instructor right away to ask about a potential temporary access code.
    • Enter all Hawkes Learning course assignments & assessments directly through Brightspace.
